COMMUNITY OUTREACH
When Jesus Christ walked the earth, we are told in the Bible that he went around doing good. He was concerned about people’s spiritual and practical needs.

At Stanway Evangelical Church we seek to do likewise which is reflected in our community outreach. We too seek to help people spiritually and practically.

During the summer months our Community Chaplain calls on homes in Stanway and is always ready to engage in spiritual conversations.

-
Residents in two nursing homes who can no longer go to church welcome the teams who hold services including favourite hymns and a talk based on the Bible.

-
A local school invited us to bring a nationwide program called ‘Open the Book’ which a team of enthusiastic volunteers have taken on board.

-
The cost-of-living crisis has motivated us to provide free packed lunches during the school holidays, which has proved very popular.

Prayer is always an important feature in church life and Stanway residents from various churches are meeting monthly to pray for the Stanway Community.
