MINISTRIES

WHAT ARE SUNDAYS LIKE AT SEC?

MORNING SERVICE 10:45am - 12:00 pm

We meet in the main church together for a time of worship, led by our musicians. Our morning service is a time for individuals to grow in their love for Jesus and  widen their knowledge of the Christian faith.

Our services are led by our leadership team and also by guest speakers. We have various groups for our young children and youth to attend during term time, which is tailored to their age. Our main meeting includes a space for our crèche which enables parents to be part of the service as well as a space for the toddlers and babies to play.  After the service we serve tea, coffee and biscuits. We would love to see you there!

EVENING SERVICE

6:30pm - 7:45pm

Our evening service starts at 6:30pm, we meet in the main church for a time of Bible teaching and worship. Our evening services are lead by our leadership team and various guest speakers. We do not have any young people groups at this service.

All are so very welcome! Evening services are held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

COMMUNION

Communion is normally on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Sunday in the morning, this can be at any time during the service.

STAY FOR A CHAT

Tea/Coffee and biscuits are served after every morning service, where there is a chance to have a chat and get to know us at SEC.

WE WELCOME YOU

So much is happening at Stanway Evangelical Church, come and meet us and find out what we do

Come just as you are, there is no dress code, wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  Feel free to sit where you like, none of our seats are reserved. There is a wide age range and enough variety for everyone.  We take an offering during the service for the regular members but there is no obligation for you to give.

  • We sing songs/hymns, most people stand to sing, but do as you feel comfortable.

  • We have a band with guitars, drums, organ and piano and other instruments that lead us in our worship.

  • We are a praying church, prayer is important, but you will not be expected to pray out loud.

  • We teach from the Bible using PowerPoint and other media presentations.

  • We have speakers from our own church and also visiting speakers.

  • You will hear testimonies of how Jesus has changed and is working in peoples lives.
