What's on at Stanway Evangelical Church?

 

What ever your need we have a something for all.  From 'Parent & Toddlers', through 'Freeway Club', 'Discovery Night', 'Youth Fellowship' to Sunday Worship.  Please contact a member of the pastoral team for more details.  A complete timetable is at the bottom of this page.

 

Sunday Worship

 

Visiting preachers as well as our own ministers provide Bible teaching at both morning and evening services.  Tea and coffee is served after morning service.  There are crèche facilities available for those with very young children.  On a regular basis there are All Age Services where the whole church family can be together (see Services).  These services are geared to all age groups from the very youngest to the oldest.

 

Son Seekers

 

The children come into the church for approximately 20 minutes before going into an adjoining room.  Son Seekers is activity based with lots of fun things to do as well as Bible teaching.

 

Footsteps 2 God (F2G)

 

Footsteps to God group for children aged 11 and upwards.  Full details can be found at www.f2g.co.uk.

 

Ladies Bible Study

 

Every Monday 10am to 11:30am.

 

Freeway Club

 

Monday 7 pm to 8:15 pm for those aged 10 to 12 years.  A time for activity, fun and games, ending with a short talk about some aspect of the Christian life.

 

Sub-Zero

 

Monday 8:30 pm to 9:45 pm for those aged 12 years onwards.  Again a time of activity, fun and games such as snooker and table tennis.  This also ends with a short talk about some aspect of Christian life.

 

ABC Group

 

However, of late our role has changed and we have become more involved in other areas, particularly in the children¹s work with costume making etc and we felt perhaps we should look to adopting another name which would signify our changing role . . . and hopefully attract new members!

 

From the New Year the name Banner Group has changed to ABC (Art, Banners & Crafts), still meeting on Monday evening at 7.30 pm in the upstairs room two or three times a month.  We will continue to make banners but will also have a more open remit as and when the need arises.

 

Parent & Toddler Group

 

On a Tuesday we run 2 Parent & Toddler sessions, 10am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 3:00pm.  Why not come along with your little one and make some new friends.

 

Lunch Club (over 60’s)

 

For the over 60's each Wednesday.  It includes tea and coffee on arrival, a two course  lunch followed by tea and coffee (small charge applies).  A time for meeting people and making new friends.

 

Women's Fellowship

 

A devotional meeting for ladies of all ages every Wednesday between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.  A friendly gathering with invited speakers, sharing thoughts, some singing and a chat over a cup of tea.

 

Prayer Meeting

 

Every Wednesday between 7:30 pm and 9 pm is the Church prayer meeting.  An opportunity for studying the Bible and praying for individuals, local and wider needs.

 

Boys & Girls Discovery Night

 

For 5 - 9 year olds this is a time of games, quizzes, craft singing, Bible stories and lots more.  Friday evening 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
