PRAYER MINISTRY REVIEW
Is it not written - Mark 11 v17 “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations”?
“Prayer changes things” and as a ‘praying’ church we have experienced God’s power on many occasions.
We have been blessed with many answers to our prayers for His healing of our people, His love, guidance, comfort and encouragement.
The Prayer Ministry is a vital part of our church life in which everyone can participate, so we would like to update you on, and invite you to share in, any (or all) of the following:
1. The Prayer Meeting held on alternative Wednesday evenings at 7.30 pm when we enjoy fellowship and prayer for the needs of the church, the world and many other subjects.
2. Pre-Service Prayer held each Sunday morning in the Quiet Room between 10.00 & 10.30 am to pray for the service, young people’s work and any other needs. (This is open to everybody).
3. Post-Service Prayer. An opportunity for anyone who would like to be prayed with to approach those wearing yellow badges (strictly confidentially). If you would like to be part of the team, please let us know.
4. Prayer Triplets. The chance to form a triplet with those of your choice, to meet when and where you wish, to pray for issues that concern you. If interested, please let us know by putting your name on the list on the notice board. We would really like to see more people enjoying this opportunity.
During the week of 17th-24th April our first week of prayer took place, when the church was open at various times each day for people to come in and spend time in the designated areas for prayer, whilst others were able to follow the prayer diary at home.
On the Saturday a home made soup and roll lunch was provided and enjoyed by a number of people.
To conclude the week a fellowship breakfast, continental style, was organised by Jean and Martin Hill. Their efforts were much appreciated by us all.
After breakfast we spent some time in prayer giving our thanks and praise to the Lord for His blessings on the week. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you”. James 4 v 8.
