" And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again."
2 Corinthians 5v15
F2G Focus
We have really enjoyed over the last term looking at different areas of the Bible
and chatting about how being a Christian can impact the lives of others.
As a leadership team we truly believe and are inspired by God’s promise found in
2 Timothy 3:16 as to the reason why we feel Blessed to serve God in leading the young
people of Stanway Evangelical Church.
As said, the extent of our inspiration can be clearly seen in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training
in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good
work."
This verse tells us that God inspired all Scripture and that it is profitable to
us. It is not just the parts of the Bible that deal with religious doctrines that
are inspired, but each and every word from Genesis to Revelation. Because it is inspired
by God, the Scriptures are therefore authoritative when it comes to establishing
doctrine, and sufficient for teaching man how to be in a right relationship with
God. The Bible claims not only to be inspired by God, but also to have the supernatural
ability to change us and make us "complete." What more can we need?
We have enjoyed welcoming Emanuel into the F2G group who has settled in well and
become a key part of our group. We also welcomed Sophie Goodman who is meeting with
us whilst studying at the Colchester Institute. Sophie has left her family in Thailand
who are serving God through OMF.
October appears to be a month of birthing of new things for Stanway and not least
that of the new 18-30's gathering. This was hosted at the home of Adam and Vicky
and saw 14 young people aged between 18-30 years come together to grow in their
friendships with each other.
Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement for the young people. Please continue
to pray for all of them that we as a fellowship can embrace the gifts God has given
them and encourage and empower them in their use of them.
