" And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again."

BEACON HOUSE
Update from Beacon House
We begin 2007 with thanks to Stanway Evangelical Church for their continuous support
financially, prayerfully and physically in 2006 all of which was a source of so much
encouragement to the team.
Although much of the news in 2006 focused on the funding cuts which continue to threaten
the work of Beacon House in 2007. For those of us who work there we stand firm on
God’s word, which states; Our God will meet all our needs according to his glorious
riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.
Evidence of this is apparent and there is much that we feel we have been truly blessed
by in the past few months. December saw an increase in volunteers and the harvest
donations in September have secured the food pantry for our life skills group for
12 months!
More important than these amazing physical resources is the spiritual movement we
are witnessing. One client has recently given his life to the Lord and is being delivered
from a lifetime of alcoholism and three more clients are now attending a local fellowship.
Only last week on our ‘health promotion’ table the only leaflets taken by clients
at the end of the week were five with the title ‘Why Jesus’.
Such movement of the Holy Spirit reinforces our confidence that the work at Beacon
House has purpose and remains led by the Holy Spirit and we are all excitedly anticipating
where He may lead us with your continued support in 2007.
